The Black Edition is a special collector’s edition of Need for Speed: Most Wanted produced to commemorate the Need for Speed series’ tenth anniversary.

A unique challenge series event, more events, bonus automobiles, and three bonus vinyls are all included in the Black Edition.

A unique feature DVD that comprises interviews and movies related to the creation of the game is also included.

In North America, it was offered for the PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox releases, although it was only offered for the PlayStation 2 release in Europe.

While the usual Need for Speed: Most Wanted Xbox 360 editions in North America and Europe did not contain the Black Edition DVD with Japanese subtitles, Japanese Xbox 360 releases did.
